Bernadette V. Russo is a doctoral student at Texas Tech University in the Department of English with an emphasis on social justice and environment. She is the author of "Shackles of A Distant Self and the Damning Complicit" appearing in Madness, Women and the Power of Art and Forgiveness (2013) and co-editor of Beyond These Walls: Confronting Madness in Society, Literature, and Art (2013).
